Dr. Manak is the Medical Director of the Interior Chemical Dependency Office, located in Kamloops, BC; her area of expertise is in dual diagnosis chronic pain and addiction, treating patients in an integrated manner with respect to mental health, addiction, and pain.  She is a medical consultant at Phoenix Detox Centre, as well as with the Sexual Assault Forensic Team at Royal Inland Hospital. She is a fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, board certified with the American Board of Addiction Medicine, exam certified with the International Society of Addiction Medicine and a certificant of the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine. She is a certified review officer with the American Association of Review Officers and previously served as an MRO for Driver Check. 

As an expert in occupational addiction medicine, she provides independent medical evaluations and medical monitoring services to substance dependent patients in safety sensitive positions through Interior Medical Monitoring.  Along with her clinical work, she is a current member of the Prescription Review Committee with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and a past member of the Methadone Maintenance Panel. Since 2015, she has represented British Columbia on the Board of Directors with the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine.  As a recognized expert on the subject of buprenorphine/naloxone, she is a frequent presenter at workshops, seminars and conferences, at a local, national, and international level on topics related to substance use disorders as well as concurrent pain and addiction disorders.
